Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale has revealed that wedding bells may soon ring for him and his girlfriend, Maali, after confirming that he has already performed traditional marriage rites with her family.
In an exclusive interview with George Quaye on Joy Prime on Wednesday, October 15, the award-winning musician shared that he has taken drinks to Maali’s family — a customary gesture that signifies serious marital intentions in Ghanaian tradition.
“I’m married already. It’s just that I met her parents, you know… The father has really accepted me into the family. So, yeah, I took drinks,” Shatta Wale said proudly.
When asked whether fans should expect a wedding soon, Shatta Wale confirmed that a church wedding is indeed part of his plans. However, he noted that he is currently saving up to make it a truly grand and memorable celebration.
“Yeah, a church wedding. I’m saving for that. You have to save for a grand wedding,” he added with a smile.
Known for his flashy lifestyle and taste for grandeur, the self-acclaimed Dancehall King hinted that his dream wedding will be nothing short of spectacular — one that reflects his status as one of Ghana’s most celebrated entertainers.
Following his revelation, fans have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, eagerly anticipating what could become one of the biggest celebrity weddings in Ghana’s entertainment history.
