In a heartfelt video shared on her Instagram page, celebrated Nigerian gospel singer Mercy Chinwo broke her silence on her tumultuous relationship with her former manager, Ezekiel ThankGod, widely known as Eezee Conceptz. Addressing ongoing rumors and accusations, Mercy painted a vivid picture of her difficult experience working under his management.

An Emotional Revelation

Mercy, renowned for her soul-stirring gospel music, began her revelation with a tearful acknowledgment of the challenges she endured. “I never thought I’d have to share this story, but for the sake of clarity and the body of Christ, I feel it’s necessary to address the misleading narratives circulating online,” she shared.

Recounting her ordeal, Mercy described feeling betrayed, bullied, and threatened by Eezee Conceptz. According to her, the relationship became so toxic that she felt compelled to relocate from Lagos to Port Harcourt to ensure her safety. “He looked at me and said, ‘I made you who you are, and I will destroy you,’” she recalled, expressing the fear and emotional toll the threats had taken on her. “I’ve endured bullying, I’ve endured threats,” she added, visibly shaken.

Addressing Public Accusations

Mercy also responded to allegations made by Eezee Conceptz, who accused her of manipulating institutions and law enforcement against him. He claimed she had received $625,000 from his record label while attempting to seize control of a music catalogue she had not financially contributed to. Mercy firmly denied these accusations, stating that they were part of a broader campaign to tarnish her image.

“Whatever he’s doing on social media now is nothing compared to what I endured behind closed doors,” she asserted. “This isn’t about painting him as a bad person; it’s about sharing the truth of my experience.” She further revealed that Eezee’s actions included withholding her music royalties for two years and initiating legal battles over their contract.

The Source of Conflict

The friction between Mercy and Eezee reportedly began in 2017 when they signed a management agreement. The relationship soured when Eezee allegedly pressured her to sign a 12-year extension, which she refused. “Since then, things became strained. You started acting funny and stalling on agreements because I didn’t extend the contract immediately,” she explained.

Mercy also highlighted a specific instance involving her collaboration with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, which Eezee allegedly opposed due to personal animosities. “One of my major crimes was collaborating with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey. He hates Pastor Nathaniel Bassey,” she revealed. Mercy accused Eezee of paying bloggers to spread negative rumors about her following the collaboration.

A Message of Faith and Forgiveness

Despite the challenges, Mercy’s faith remains unshaken. She emphasized that her decision to speak out was not an act of revenge but a necessary step to address the public. “You have bloggers, but I have God. The worst you can do is what you’re already doing. But I trust that God’s plans for me are good and not evil,” she affirmed confidently.

As Mercy’s story continues to unfold, her courage in publicly addressing these issues reminds us of the importance of transparency and standing firm in one’s faith amidst adversity.
